Dr. Remington Horesh, Vitreo-Retinal Fellow

Remington Horesh, DO, is a vitreo-retinal surgical fellow with AIO. Growing up in sunny South Florida, he earned his bachelor’s degree in biotechnology along with a minor in chemistry from the University of Florida. He subsequently received his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Bradenton campus in 2015. He has spent his last 4 years training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Ophthalmology Residency program, where he was appointed the title of chief resident. There he received extensive training in the field from surgeons all over the city of Philadelphia, including the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital. He has been involved in lecturing medical school classes on ophthalmology curriculum and has traveled abroad for health outreach. He has authored several book chapters in the field of medicine and hopes to continue work in clinical research to aid in the development of new treatment options for vitreoretinal disease. He completed his residency training in the summer of 2019 and was accepted into the sought-after position of vitreoretinal fellow here at AIO to undergo further sub-specialty surgical training. After hours, Remington spends his time playing music, taking photos, traveling, and training in the martial arts. He resides in Pittsburgh with his fiancé, Andrea, a fellow Pittsburgh physician, and their dog, Leonidas.
